IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC)

What is IBM HMC ?

The IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC) is a hardware appliance that provides a GUI for configuring and controlling one or more managed systems. You can use the HMC to create and manage logical partitions and activate Capacity Upgrade on Demand. Using service applications, the HMC communicates with managed systems to detect, consolidate, and send information to customer support for analysis.

Why Should You Use the IBM HMC Connector?

The IBM HMC connector provides visibility into IBM server assets. You can use this visibility to:

  • ensure that IBM servers are managed per your security policies

How Does This Connector Work?

Lucidum executes read-only requests to the IBM HMC REST API and ingests only meta-data about IBM HMC devices. Lucidum does not retrieve any data stored on your assets.
