Managing a Dashboard

You can view and edit:

  • Dashboards you create. For details on creating a dashboard, see the chapter on Creating a Dashboard.

  • Dashboards that you import via JSON file. For details on exporting and importing dashboards, see the chapter on Exporting and Importing a Dashboard.

  • Dashboards that have been forwarded to you. For details on forwarding dashboards, see the section in this chapter on Forwarding a Dashboard.

Choosing a Default Dashboard

The default dashboard is displayed on the Home page after login. By default, the default dashboard is Lucidum CAASM Summary. To change the default dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

  4. In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to set as default

  5. Click on its push-pin icon.

Editing the Name of a Dashboard

To change the name of a dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

  4. In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to edit and click on the pencil icon.

  5. In the Edit Dashboard modal, edit the name of the dashboard and click Update.

Copying a Dashboard

To copy a dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

  4. In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to copy, click the elipses (…), and choose Copy Dashboard.

  5. In the Copy Dashboard modal, select the channel to copy the dashboard to. Click Confirm.

  6. The copied dashboard appears in the selected channel.

Changing the Channel for Dashboard

To move a dashboard to another channel:

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

  4. In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to move and click on the pencil icon.

  5. In the Edit Dashboard modal, edit the Channel and click Update.

Deleting a Dashboard

To delete a dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

  4. In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to move and click on the garbage can icon.

Forwarding a Dashboard to Other Users

By default, Lucidum users can view and edit:

  • Dashboards they created. For details on creating a dashboard, see the chapter on Creating a Dashboard.

  • Dashboards that they imported via JSON file. For details on exporting and importing dashboards, see the chapter on Exporting and Importing a Dashboard.

  • Dashboards that have been forwarded to them by other users.

To allow other users to view a dashboard that you have access to, you can forward the dashboard.

To forward a dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

  4. In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to copy, click the elipses (…), and choose Forward Dashboard.

  5. In the Forward Dashboard modal, select the user to forward the dashboard to. Click Confirm.

  6. When that user logs in, the Manage Folder dialog includes a new “shared by” folder and a new dashboard with “_copy” appended to its name.

Locking and Unlocking the Layout of a Dashboard

By default, when you save a dashboard, it is locked. When a dashboard is locked, you cannot change the layout of the dashboard.

When a dashboard is unlocked, you can:

  • change the position of the charts in the dashboard

  • change the size of each chart in the dashboard

To unlock and lock a dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

  4. In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to edit. Click the dashboard name.

  5. Lucidum loads the dashboard.

  6. In the dashboard page, click the lock icon.

  7. The Lock/Unlock Dashboard icon allows you to toggle on and off a lock for the dashboard. When unlocked, you can edit the layout of a dashboard.
