Sal Endpoint Management is an open-source reporting solution for managed endpoints.

Creating an API Key for Sal Endpoint Management

Before configuring the Sal Endpoint Management connector in Lucidum, you must first create an API Key. Lucidum will use the API key to access the Sal Endpoint Management API. 

To generate an API key:

  1. Login to Sal.

  2. Click on your account avatar and select Settings.

    On the left menu, click API Keys.

    Click Create to generate a new API key.

Configuring the Connector for Sal Endpoint Management

To configure Lucidum to ingest data from Sal Endpoint Management:

  1. Log in to Lucidum.

  2. In the left pane, click Connector.

  3. In the Connector page, click Add Connector.

  4. Scroll until you find the Connector you want to configure. Click Connect. The Settings page appears.

  5. In the Settings page, enter the following:

    • Host (required): The hostname or IP address of the Sal server.

    • Port. The open port on the Sal server. The default is 8080.

    • Public Key (required) - The value supplied in Public Key and Private Key must be associated with a user that has read access to devices.

    • Private Key (required) - The value supplied in Public Key and Private Key must be associated with a user that has read access to devices.

    • Verify SSL. For future use.

  6. To test the configuration, click Test.

    • If the connector is configured correctly, Lucidum displays a list of services that are accessible with the connector.

    • If the connector is not configured correctly, Lucidum displays an error message.
