VMware vRealize
VMware vRealize Suite and vCloud Suite deliver a self-service consumption layer, an automation framework, and self-driving Day 2 operations for VMware Cloud and beyond. It includes four main products:
vRealize Automation: Increase agility, productivity and efficiency through self-service automation.
vRealize Operations: Optimize, plan and scale SDDC and cloud deployments with self-driving operations.
vRealize Log Insight: Improve troubleshooting and security with centralized log management, visibility and analytics.
vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager: Accelerate deployment and upgrades, enhance environment stability and improve end-user productivity.
Configuring the Connector for VMware vRealize
To configure Lucidum to ingest data from VMware vRealize:
Log in to Lucidum.
In the left pane, click Connector.
In the Connector page, click Add Connector.
Scroll until you find the Connector you want to configure. Click Connect. The Settings page appears.
In the Settings page, enter the following:
Host (required): The hostname or IP address of the VMware vRealize Operations (vROps) server.
User Name (required) - The credentials for a user account that has the required read permissions to fetch assets. The user name should be in a 'user@domain' format.
Password (required) - The credentials for a user account that has the required read permissions to fetch assets. The user name should be in a 'user@domain' format.
Domain Type. The domain type of the vRealize network insight server. Required for network insight connection.
Domain Value. The domain value of the vRealize network insight server. Required for network insight connection.
Verify SSL. For future use.
To test the configuration, click Test.
If the connector is configured correctly, Lucidum displays a list of services that are accessible with the connector.
If the connector is not configured correctly, Lucidum displays an error message.
