Lucidum allows you to export a dashboard for use on another Lucidum system. Lucidum also allows you to import a dashboard from another Lucidum system.

Exporting a Dashboard

You can export a dashboard to a .JSON file. This enables other Lucidum users to import the .JSON file and use the dashboard. You can also export a dashboard to a .PDF file, for use in document.

To export a dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

  4. In the right pane, click on the name of the dashboard to open it.

  5. In the dashboard, click on the ellipsis in the upper right.

  6. Select either Download JSON File or Download PDF File.

  7. The dashboard is immediately downloaded to your local computer, in the file format you chose

Importing a Dashboard

If you have exported the JSON file for a Lucidum dashboard, you can create a new dashboard with the .JSON file.

  1. Log in to your Lucidum system.

  2. In the left menu, click Home > Dashboards.

  3. Click Create Dashboard.

  4. In the Create Dashboard dialog, enter the following:

    • Dashboard Name. Enter a name for the dashboard. If you do not specify a name, the new dashboard will retain its original name, with ”_import” appended to the name.

    • Channel. Specify a channel where you want to store the dashboard. Channels help you organize dashboards. Lucidum requires that each dashboard lives in a channel.

    • Description. An optional description of the dashboard.

    • Click or drag file to the area. Drag the .JSON file to this area of the Create Dashboard page.

    • Confirm. Click this button to save the new dashboard.
