Lucidum Help Center

Welcome! Let’s get started with Lucidum.

Frequently Used

Using Connectors

Connectors allow Lucidum to ingest data from your environment and discover, identify, and classify assets, data, and users. Lucidum includes pre-built connectors for the most commonly used solutions.

Viewing a Dashboard

The Dashboard pages display dashboards that provide real-time insights into your assets, users, and data. This chapter describes how to view dashboards.

Building Queries

Queries and filters are methods to search the database in Lucidum to find data that meets your specifications. You can then include the results in charts, actions, and webhooks. This chapter describes how to build and use queries in Lucidum.

What is Lucidum?

Lucidum helps you assess risk and mitigate vulnerabilities by discovering every asset, every account, and every user, classifying all discovered data, and calculating and ranking every risk.

Getting Started with Lucidum

The Getting Started guide includes information about the first few days with Lucidum and the type of information and insights you can expect immediately.

Proxy Server

A proxy server allows Lucidum connectors that run on your SaaS account to fetch data securely from your on-premises assets.

Managing Users

Lucidum includes easy-to-use tools to create and manage user accounts, create and manage roles for RBAC, and enable SSO integration.

Connectors

Connectors are pre-built integrations that allow Lucidum to ingest data from your environment and discover, identify, and classify assets, data, and users.

Dashboards

The Dashboards pages enable you to build and view dashboards that provide real-time insights into your assets, users, and data.

Streamlining Queries with Smart Labels and Tags

Lucidum includes two types of user-defined fields to make repetitive tasks easier and to help organize assets and users: Tags and Smart Labels.

Value-Oriented Dashboards (VODs)

Lucidum includes pre-built dashboards, called Value-Oriented Dashboards or VODs. VODs display common use cases to help you get immediate insights from Lucidum.

Risk

Lucidum uses Machine Learning algorithms to discover every asset, every account, and every user, classify all discovered data, and then calculate Risk Factors, Risk Scores, Risk Rankings, and Risk Levels.

Actions

Lucidum automations, called Actions, can send email messages, post messages to slack, create Jira tickets, isolate infected devices, or make changes to Active Directory, among other options.

Use Cases

Use cases describe some common problems that enterprises and providers encounter and how Lucidum solves those problems.

Viewing Data

Lucidum uses two types of data, both of which you can view in Lucidum and use in dashboards: raw data from data sources (connectors) and Lucidum data. Lucidum data is enriched via Lucidum’s machine learning.

Running Headless with Webhooks

Lucidum uses webhooks to run headless, providing all the benefits of Lucidum without requiring your IT team to learn a new interface.

Lucidum API v1

Lucidum includes query-based APIs for accessing the Lucidum database. This manual describes the Lucidum API v1.

Lucidum API v2

Lucidum API v2 includes APIs for all the data available via the Query Builder, using syntax like the syntax in the Query Builder.

Sending Alerts to Slack

The Lucidum application for Slack allows you to share Lucidum data directly with your team. This allows you to monitor issues and track burn-down rates together.

Managing Your Lucidum System

Lucidum allows you to manage the data, queries, and license settings on your system.
